When you buy IBC Totes IBC / Tanks used, they usually have some kind of industrial stuff inside and need to be cleaned. This is the easiest way we have found to clean IBC Totes / IBC tanks with minimal effort. We take them to the car wash and high pressure hose them. We also use the tire cleaning solution option which de-greases them because our had salmon fish oil in them. Hope this homestead hack helps you! We use IBC totes / IBC / Tanks for our water tank storage and supply. Homestead require a reliable water tank storage system to get us thru the dry months. IBC Totes / IBC tanks are our way of making sure our water supply is secure. They are cheap and hold 275 gallons each. Our DIY method for cleaning them works for us
